Prosthodontic Observation Program
The Prosthodontic Observation Program provides a meaningful and well-directed observational experience for dentists interested in observing Prosthodontic and Implant practices and procedures in clinic and classroom settings in the Department of Restorative Dentistry.
The program provides an opportunity for the observer to:
- Observe a wide range of Prosthodontic and Implant procedures in the Implant and Innovations Center;
- Attend departmental seminars of Prosthodontics and Implants; and
- Acquire fundamental knowledge and skills in the restorative sciences.
The program provides dentists the opportunity to develop and improve skills that will enhance their performance and understanding in the field of Prosthodontics and implant placement. Participation in the Prosthodontic Observation Program does not guarantee acceptance into the Prosthodontic Certificate Program. The duration of the Prosthodontic Observation Program can range from one week to one year. Interested participants, please read these program details. Dr. Saad S. Al-Resayes was born and raised in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In 2012, Dr. Al-Resayes earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the College of Dentistry- King Saud University including successful completion of six years of comprehensive studies and a one year internship. Upon graduation, Dr. Al-Resayes received The Ideal Student Award from the College of Dentistry for his academic excellence and clinical performance. Dr. Al-Resayes’ work experience includes practicing part time in a general practice and two years of participation as a Teaching Assistant in the College of Dentistry- King Saud University. Dr. Al-Resayes chose to specialize in Prosthodontics to gain the knowledge and skills to manage complex esthetic and implant cases that will improve patients’ quality of life. He is grateful to be a part of the prosthodontics team at UIC and is eagerly looking to join the Advanced Prosthodontic Program next year and to pursue the Master’s Degree. In his free time, Dr. Al-Resayes likes to explore the city of Chicago and take photographs of architecture and abstract art.
Dr. Nesreen Jaweesh attended the University of Aleppo in Syria- School of Dentistry. After graduation, she practiced at her private clinic for five years and worked as an instructor at her alma mater. Dr. Jaweesh arrived in the United Stated in 2006, desiring to enter back into the dental field she joined the Observation Program at UIC’s Department of Restorative Dentistry. In Dr. Jaweesh’s words, “the dental field is where I can passionately apply my talent in painting and sculpting and serving people. I always thought of dentistry as science and art; they meet to create results of health and beauty.” In her free time, Dr. Jaweesh enjoys spending time with family, painting and jogging.
